Step 1: Shut off the main valve
Your home may have a main shut-off valve near where the water line enters the house, and there may also be a valve at the meter. Turning off the water can stop the leak from getting worse. If water is near electrical outlets, stay clear and switch off power to that area at the panel only if it is safe to do so.
Step 2: Turn off the water heater supply
If the leak could be on the hot side, close the cold supply valve on top of the water heater so it does not keep refilling.
Step 3: Call and get connected
Call (561) 566-7338. Your call is connected with a local plumber who can help locate the leak and explain the repair options.
